Garba is a traditional folk dance from Gujarat, India, performed in a circular formation to honor the feminine divine energy—specifically Goddess Durga during Navratri, the nine-night festival. Dancers move rhythmically in circles, clapping and twirling to the beats of live drums and folk music.
Navratri, meaning “nine nights” in Sanskrit, is one of India’s most colorful festivals. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and invites communities to come together in joy and devotion.
